Description:
Black Cohune marks the appearance of a new and foreign species in the forest. It was constructed from the black carcasses of exploded car and lorry tires, which line Belize 's highways. The artist was inspired by the abundant Cohune Trees in Poustinia. The sculpture was nominated for the prestigious Jerwood Sculpture Prize in London .
